We have received information from the Colonie Neighborhood rep that he would like to share with the other neighborhoods in Vista Lakes. Be on the lookout for a white business van. It appears that 2 teenage boys knock on the door, if it is answered they make an excuse such as "may I use the phone, or will you call my mother for me" or make up a name of someone they are looking for but must have gone to the wrong address. They leave after making their excuses. If no one answers it appears as they may be staking out the home for breaking and entering. Be aware and make sure all your doors are locked both when gone and when home. If you see a suspicious vehicle or persons please call 911 to report it.
A Golden Retriever has been found in the Carlisle neighborhood. The resident who found it took the dog to the Vista Lakes Animal Hospital.

It is apparent that a lot of Vista Lakes residents are still running their irrigation systems twice per week. If you are doing so, you are not only likely to get a visit from OUC's new Water Enforcement Team which is on the lookout for irrigation violations, but you are also likely to damage your lawn by applying to much water during the cooler weather.
The St. John's River Water Management District landscape irrigation guidelines allow for one day per week watering during the winter (Saturday for odd-numbered houses, Sunday for even-numbered houses). Therefore, you should have limited your watering from two days per week to one day per week when you put your clocks back on November 6th. This will apply until the second Sunday in March (when you put your clocks forward) when two-day per watering will resume.
So, whenever you set your clocks forward or back to adjust for Daylight Savings Time, just add changing your irrigation system settings to that list of clocks and timers that you have to adjust!
