The Board would now like to encourage you to volunteer and become a candidate to serve as a Neighborhood Representative. As a Neighborhood Representative you will have the opportunity to work with other residents in your neighborhood, with other Neighborhood Representatives, as well as the Board of Directors, to maintain and improve the quality of life at Vista Lakes. As a decision maker for the community, you can identify common issues within your neighborhood for the Board to consider in addition to creating and chairing a Neighborhood Committee. One of the major responsibilities of a Neighborhood Representative is the election of Board Directors at our annual meeting in October. For additional information on the responsibilities of this position, please read Article V of the By-Laws, which describes in detail the duties of a Neighborhood Representative.
The residents of each of the fourteen Vista Lakes neighborhoods elect Neighborhood Representatives. A Candidate/Nomination Form needs to be filled out and returned. A list of candidates will be identified and ballots will be mailed to each homeowner. The Board of Directors will hold the election in May and elected Representatives will hold office for one year. Current Representatives must also submit their names for re-election and can continue to serve until a successor is elected.
To be added to the ballot for the upcoming Neighborhood Rep election, please submit the following information, or print, complete and return this form by April 12, 2011:
