Vista
Lakes has a Residents' Club, five public pools, two lighted tennis
courts, four parks, a soccer field, a Little League-sized baseball/softball
field, a lakeside trail, paddleboats, boat docks, and many activities
and events. Three pools, a pavilion, the tennis courts and the Residents'
Club are located at the Amenities Center on Lee Vista Boulevard.
In addition there are many regularly scheduled activities, special
events, and clubs.
A
Vista Lakes identification
card is required in order to use the pools and parks. I.D. s
are issued by pool staff during the hours of operation of the pools.
If you have a temporary I.D. you only need to bring picture I.D.(Drivers
license with current address or school I.D.). If you are applying
for new I.D. you must bring your mortgage or lease and one other
form of verification of address such as a utility bill with your
name and current Vista Lakes address.
NOTE: Amenities may be subject to change depending on the availability of HOA funds.

Club:

The
Resident’s Club is used for Vista Lakes functions, exercise
classes and meetings.

Pools:

There
are three pools at the Residents' Club – a wading pool,
recreational pool and a lap pool. These are available to all residents
except to those who live in Central Park and Horizons who have
their own pools. There is a pavilion adjacent to the wading and
recreational pools available to all unless it has been reserved.
Pool
entry must be through the pool office located adjacent to the
parking lot.
A

Tennis
Courts:
There are two lighted courts at the Amenities Center. Courts may be reserved
at the pool office; Vista Lakes tennis lessons have priority. The timer
switch for the lights is outside the corner of the courts nearest the
Club - please turn off the lights when you leave. You may be asked to
show your Vista Lakes identification.
The
gates are locked. The entry code is available from the Community
Director

A list
of residents looking for people to play with is posted on the bulletin
board outside the entry gate.

Parks:
Amhurst
Park

Soccer

The
largest park is Amhurst Park on Chickasaw Trail. It has
shaded playground equipment, a pavilion, basketball courts, benches, a
Little League/softball baseball diamond and a soccer field. Please note
that Amhurst Park is shared with the Vista Lakes Elementary School and
parts of it are not available to residents while school is in session.
The elementary school will have exclusive use of the hard court, baseball
diamond and the soccer field areas during school hours. The exclusive
use agreement is effective one half hour after the start of school
to one half hour prior to the end of the school day or as posted. Residents
will have use of the playground area all day.

Vista
Lake Park
There
is also a small park and boat dock called Vista Lake Park
that is located on Vista Park Boulevard inside the gates, but the park
is available to all residents on foot. There is also a walking trail on
the opposite shore of Vista Lake, part of a linear park along the shoreline.
Lastly,
there is a small park on Milford Haven Place in Newport.
You
may be asked to show your Vista Lakes identification when at a park. All
parks close at dusk.

Special events are scheduled by the Events Committee. Please see the Events
page for more information.
Clubs:
There are special and general interest clubs
of several varieties that are formed and run by residents with help from
the Community Director as needed.
