On Tuesday, December 17th, the City of Orlando Municipal Planning Board will be meeting to discuss a proposed communication tower to be located within the Vista Lakes community.  T-Mobile is proposing a 130 foot tall 'bell style' tower on the church property located at the corner of Lee Vista and Passaic...across the street from the VLCA clubhouse.

 

This proposal was first discussed at a community meeting held on August 13th.  The room was packed with many people having to stand.  The overwhelming response from residents was they do not want this tower anywhere within the Vista Lakes community.  On November 19th, there was a public hearing with the City of Orlando Municipal Planning Board regarding this tower regarding their Conditional Use Permit application.  Vista Lakes residents showed up to voice their continued displeasure with this tower being located within the community. 

 

If you would like to voice your opinion on this topic, please attend the next City of Orlando Municipal Planning Board meeting on December 17th at 8am.  You can park in the city commons parking garage and take the elevator to the 3rd floor and cross over Boone Ave. on the pedestrian bridge.  You will then go through security then proceed to the city council chambers.
